The Waupaca Chain O’Lakes Sanitary District was established in the 1970’s to keep our lake water pristine. The Sanitary District has not increased the rates for sanitary sewer fees since 1992. Rates have remained the same for over 30 years! The Sanitary District has been able to make changes, become more efficient, and all have been working very hard to keep costs as low as possible.
The Sanitary District wants to keep services affordable for everyone. To save on costs for postage, supplies, materials, and time, there will be a change in the billing cycle to once per year billing.
Your total bill amount will remain the same, but the full yearly cost of sanitary fees will be due each July. The last regular quarterly bill you will receive will be in March 2026 for sanitary services for January-March 2026. This quarterly bill will be due April 15, 2026. In June of 2026, you will receive a bill for your yearly sanitary fees, payment will be due July 15, 2026. This yearly bill will be for services from April 1st, 2026, through March 31st, 2027.
This yearly bill will be calculated as the current net amount due and will reflect any past due amount or any fees that have been paid in advance.
